Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Group Policy on Human Rights
The Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Group recognizes that respect for human rights is closely linked to our management philosophy and that safeguarding the human rights of all individuals affected by our business activities is a vital responsibility. The Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Group Policy on Human Rights is hereby established for the purpose of promoting respect for human rights throughout the Group.
- 1. Fundamental Approach

The Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Group will practice respect for human rights based on international frameworks such as the UN Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, the ILO Declaration on Fundamental Principles and Rights at Work, and the International Bill of Human Rights.
The Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Group will comply with laws and regulations related to human rights in all countries and regions where it does business. In addition, in cases where conflicts arise between internationally recognized human rights and the laws and regulations of individual countries and regions, the Group will pursue methods to respect internationally recognized human rights. - 2. Scope of application
- This policy applies to all executives and employees in the Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Group. Business partners, including suppliers and the supply chain, are also required to understand and comply with the policy.

- Prevention of all types of discrimination and harassment
- Ensuring the safety and health of workers
- Provision of appropriate working conditions and wages
- Respect for the right to organize and the right to collective bargaining

- 4. Human Rights Due Diligence
- The Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Group will conduct human rights due diligence to identify any adverse human rights impacts on society arising from its business activities and strive to prevent and mitigate them.
- 5. Grievance mechanisms and remedies
- The Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Group will develop mechanisms that allow for anonymous reporting by employees and stakeholders on concerns and grievances related to human rights. The Group will promptly investigate any reports and take swift and appropriate remedial action.
- 6. Education and awareness-raising
- The Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Group will regularly conduct education and awareness-raising activities related to human rights for all executives and employees and work to raise awareness of respect for human rights.
- 7. Dialogue and consultation with stakeholders
- The Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Group will engage in dialogue and consultation with stakeholders to deepen understanding of human rights issues and work toward their resolution as part of the initiatives outlined in this policy.
