Basic Procurement Policy of Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Co., Ltd

Corporate social responsibilities related to social norms, human rights, the environment, and other areas are becoming increasingly important. Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Co., Ltd. has established the Basic Procurement Policy based on its corporate philosophy, the Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Group Code of Conduct, and the Nihon Kagaku Sangyo Group Policy on Human Rights for the purpose of promoting more responsible procurement activities. Along with fulfilling our corporate responsibilities, we will work to build relationships of mutual trust for good partnerships with our business partners.
1. Compliance with Laws, Regulations, and Social Norms
We will comply with all laws, regulations, and social norms related to procurement and purchasing activities.
2. Considerations for Human Rights and Labor
We will prohibit all acts that violate human rights and create an appropriate labor environment in accordance with international treaties, labor law, and other related laws and regulations. In addition, we will implement responsible mineral sourcing to avoid using minerals clearly implicated in human rights abuses.
3. Fair, Equal, and Sincere Transactions
We will treat our business partners as equals and provide fair trading opportunities; business partners will be decided fairly and sincerely through strict and fair competition.
4. Consideration for the Environment
We will be mindful of social situations and needs to promote procurement activities, giving due consideration to the protection of the global environment as well as to environmental conservation and reduction of environmental burdens.
